Nektar’s Panorama series of controllers is renowned for its seamless integration with numerous popular DAWs and pre-configured mappings for various third-party plugins. With the introduction of the new Panorama CS12, Nektar elevates this concept by presenting a specialized hardware control surface tailored specifically for Apple Logic Pro.

On the left side, the Panorama CS12 boasts a 100 mm motorized fader, providing users with precise control over the currently selected track, which proves particularly useful for recording automation. The mixer channel section further enhances functionality with a dedicated pan control, color-coded to align with Logic’s channel colors. Additionally, the mixer segment of the Panorama CS12 offers a level meter along with Arm, Solo, Mute, and Select/Master buttons.

The right section is designated for managing plugins within Logic. It features twelve rotary knobs and four buttons, all illuminated in RGB. A column of buttons enables the selection of plugins for editing. Furthermore, there are dedicated Channel and Sends pages for overseeing up to 12 send effects and Logic’s Smart Controls.

Nektar states that the Panorama CS12 offers immediate compatibility with Logic’s native plugins and numerous third-party plugins from brands like Waves, Universal Audio, FabFilter, and others straight out of the box. With pre-set mappings, there’s no need for manual assignment of controls to parameters. The TFT screen conveniently showcases parameter names and values, color-coded to correspond with the rotary knobs. If customization is desired, Nektarine software allows for manual mapping adjustments.

Moreover, the Panorama CS12 includes a comprehensive transport section, facilitating control over functions such as play/record, loop/cycle, and metronome. Additionally, this section provides swift access to up to 10 markers for effortless navigation.
